Sarah Fendley wanted to sell coffee...
Hundreds of college students wanted to buy her coffee. Yet she found herself kicked off the Boise State University campus because she publicly supported police and first responders. Thankfully, a jury recognized this injustice and ruled in her favor.
We’re constantly told that DEI — diversity, equity, and inclusion — is a positive force, a way of bringing people together and creating unity. But the case of Sarah Fendley and Big City Coffee shows DEI’s dark side. Too often, DEI is used as an excuse to demonize, demean, and denigrate the very values that made America great. It’s a divisive and anti-American ideology that teaches people to hate themselves, their families, and their heritage. It creates an oppressor-victim mentality that selectively places individuals in one camp or the other, very much like Marxist class warfare.
And you are paying for it.
If DEI were not supported by tax dollars at public schools and universities, it would quickly die off. Early in 2025, the Idaho Legislature has an opportunity to end taxpayer support for this harmful ideology. A legislative committee is set to meet to prepare recommendations for the upcoming session, and we’re delighted that two of our public Idaho Freedom Caucus members (Representative Dale Hawkins and Representative Elaine Price) are part of it.
We all know that the left uses words like “diversity,” “equity,” and “inclusion” to cover for their anti-American, anti-Christian, and anti-human ideology.
But Idaho Freedom Caucus members have a different vision, one rooted in the Christian principle of all are equal before God, and the American principle of all are equal in the eyes of the law. Caucus members promote the inherent dignity of all individuals while rejecting secular humanism, collectivism, and divisive ideologies.
Moving forward, Idaho Freedom Caucus members are ready to work with anyone dedicated to real solutions for Idaho. DEI has proven more divisive than unifying, and it’s time we end it along with other discriminatory practices. Utah, Alabama, Texas, and Tennessee have already taken steps to eliminate such divisiveness. Many other states are now moving to purge these harmful elements from their systems.
We're committed to fostering unity and ending discrimination, aiming to lift up all Idahoans together. We invite you to join us on!
So grateful this woman won her lawsuit. Even more grateful to have you, IFC, fighting for Idahoans. Thank you!
thank you for carrying the torch for greater freedom and liberty!
